Trader gets 30 Months for causing Friend-s Death in Mishap |

KUALA LUMPUR: A trader was jailed 30 months and fined RM12,000 for reckless driving which resulted in the death of his friend in 2009.
Magistrate Parvin Hameedah Natchiar also suspended B. Pragash’s driving licence for three years.
“I find that the defence has failed to raise reasonable doubt,” Parvin said in a traffic court here yesterday.
The sentence was to take effect yesterday. However, counsel M. Mathavan successfully applied for a stay of execution.
